Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Geospatial Sciences in the Department of Geography and Anthropology with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in the areas of Geospatial Sciences (e.g., The Digital Earth, GIS, Remote Sensing), Land Surveying, and other closely related disciplines.
Faculty are expected to teach courses of variable size and modalities, including large class sizes.
Scholarship/Research activities are expected.
Service to the Department, College, University, and professional community is expected.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Geospatial Sciences, Geomatics, or a related discipline, is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
A clear trajectory toward effective and sustained university teaching, supervision, mentorship, research, and professional service.
Licenses, certifications, or professional memberships in Land Surveying
Evidence of scholarship
Experience teaching on-line, hybrid, and face-to-face courses
Effectiveness in teaching in different course sizes, including large classes
Record of past teaching or potential teaching
Prior success in obtaining extramural funding
